Great news! I can finally announce the official Meant To Be CD and Book
Release date to you! Yeah! It's been a little crazy as I am finishing
the Devotional Journal as we speak! It's been a long time coming but we
feel the CD is better for taking our time and we can't wait for you to
hear it! The lyrics will be posted on the site soon
as well as clips and our site will be getting a bit of a new look!
Please come join us on Friday May 23rd at 7:30pm at the Children and Arts
Center in Romeoville,Il. The whole band will be there and we are excited
to have Dennis Ostermann on piano and keyboard joining us. He did an
awesome job on the CD as well! There are more exciting surprise so I
will keep them at that, so please come and tell all your friends about
this special free concert!
Thank you to all who pre-ordered CD's and helped support this project we
truly appreciate you and your patience in waiting! We will have your
CD's ready for you on the 23rd. If you are unable to make it please let
us know and we will make other arrangements to get you your CD's!
God's Blessings to You,
Vanessa E.

The CD is coming along great and is still in the mixing process. These
things take time I have to remind myself. The CD artwork is almost done
also. I'm getting excited for the CD release concert which we are
planning to have in late April at the Children & Arts Center in
Romeoville, Il. Once the CD is being duplicated I will then get the date
out to all of you. I'm learning albeit slowly, that I need to hold off
on dates until it's ready!
There will be lyrics on the site soon for you to check out also.

Well, I wanted to wait until I had some good news to share and I do!!! Recording is done and mixing has begun! Artwork is being done as I write and it's becoming a reality! You've probably been thinking we made the whole thing up since it's been taking awhile. Every time we do this it takes longer and costs more than we expect. It's kind of like remodeling, yet when you get the finished product you see that it was worth it.
I am working on a Devotional Journal which will be a companion to the new CD.
I'll try to keep you posted on any details.

Happy New Year!
I hope all is well with you. We are looking forward to the New Year and
the New CD! The first song Ian Mereness mixed is "Stuck In Egypt" and
it sounds amazing, he will be working on more this week. Greg and I are
finishing up some tracks on a few songs and hope to be done tracking
this week. God willing!
I am also working on a journal/devotional to hopefully be released with
the CD. My vision is for it to not only take you behind the songs but
get you into doing some reflecting and journaling as well. Journaling
has been such a vital part in my own spiritual growth and helped me to
not only process my thoughts but listen to God and connect with Him in a
deeper way.
When is the CD coming out, you ask? Foolishly I've given dates and I'm
learning the hard way that it is not wise to give a date until it
is done. So as much as I want to give you a date, I need to wait. I can
tell you that it's better than anything we have done so far and we hope
you will agree. We'd like to get a song out there for you to listen to
soon. I'll keep you posted on that and hopefully have a handle on when
to expect it.
May God bless you and draw you close to Him,
Vanessa E.

I haven't been writing often at all and now two days in a row! I'm
impressed with myself! Let's see if I can keep it up!
We just finished the background parts on a couple more songs tonight.
The song "Stuck in Egypt" will be ready to give to Ian to mix in the
next day or so! It's an upbeat catchy rock/pop song. It's kind of a
modern day version of the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of
slavery in Egypt to being free people. It was hard for them to leave
and even when they did their hearts were "Stuck in Egypt". The lyrics
are a challenge to escape the things that keep us in bondage emotionally
& spiritually.

I'm getting really excited for the CD to be completed and yes a little
anxious! We are still tracking and it is sounding amazing! The last
song on the CD is called Come Home and it features the CCC choir! I've
always wanted to have a choir on a song but haven't really had the right
song until now. As I wrote this song, I envisioned a choir on it from
the beginning. Dennis Ostermann is featured on piano and organ on this
song and a few others and does an incredible job!
We are very excited to have Ian Mereness mix a few songs for us! Ian is
a highly accomplished recording engineer and mixer. He has worked on
many platinum selling projects.
We are holding off the release in order to put out the best product we
can. Our goal is to be done with all the tracking in the next couple of
weeks, we are down to guitars and vocals mostly. We should be ready to
get a couple of songs to Ian soon, while we continue to work on the others.
Thank you to all who helped with the fund raising by selling or buying
candles, making a donation and pre-ordering CD's! We so appreciate you
and it means a lot to us! We are over 1/2 way in raising our funds and
prayerfully it will all come together by the time we need it! I am
still looking for creative fund raising ideas, if you have any
email me.
We will be posting lyrics on the site soon for you to check out!
Keep checking back and thanks for your support and please any prayers
would be appreciated. This hasn't been without challenges and we feel
God is going to use the messages in the songs to reach hearts!
Vanessa E.
8/2/07 Hello!
We have officially started recording CD#3!! I'm
very excited and I can't wait to have you hear the new songs! It's a
tedious process so I don't have a release date. The goal is late
September, early October. We will try to get clips up when we get
further along. Also check back for upcoming shows, we plan to be back
out in September!
God's blessings to you!
Vanessa E.

Hi friends,
Here's what is new creatively:
I am writing songs for the next CD and we've started to demo them in the studio.
I'm thinking about doing half acoustic and the other half full rock'n band songs.
I really like the Acoustic Sessions that we did as a bonus CD in the Streams Devotional.
We'll see how it evolves! I may also have a couple of original worship songs on there
as well. It's going to be awhile before it's out, I've learned from experience that
the whole process takes a while.

Hi friends,
I'm going to once again attempt to communicate with you regularly.
Last night's Divas for Christ concert was awesome and I really enjoy
being a part of such a talented group of vocalists and musicians! If you
haven't had a chance to see this show yet, you should! The band is
incredible and consists of many different instruments and the show is
very high energy. There is also talk of taking the show on the road in
the future. We'll keep you posted. Don't miss the next "Divas" show on December
9th in Aurora. Check the shows page for more info.

Hi friends and Happy New Year! Sorry I have not been keeping up on my journal entries.
I will try harder to let you know what’s new.
I’m currently working on the Streams in the Wasteland Devotional Book, which I hope to
complete soon. We will also be recording a few coffee house versions of some of the songs on
Streams and the Wasteland and possibly a couple re-mixes and a new song. It will probably be
5-6 songs.
I’ve missed performing and hope to be back out in February.
Keep checking the site for upcoming gig info.
Greg and I went to France in May on a music mission trip with other musicians from our church.
It was an incredible experience! I believe there will be a revival in France and music will
be a big part of how God communicates his message. The people in France were very receptive
to the music!
God’s Blessings to you and hope to see you soon!

After a long winter of being sick with the flu and re-occurring bouts of pneumonia, I'm so thankful to be singing again! You can't imagine how grateful I feel!
I have been working on a "Streams in the Wasteland" devotional companion to the CD in the interim. It's still in the works and I'm hoping to have it out in the summer, prayerfully!

We are well into the mixing phase of the new cd. Greg is mixing the cd along with Dennis Ostermann,
at his studio in Batavia. The songs that are done are: Streams In The Wasteland, Don't Walk Away,
Find Me Here, Come Back, and Nothing's Impossible.
We hope to be done mixing by the end of next week, and then it's on to the mastering engineer.
This cd is a huge step forward in terms of songwriting, performance and production,
and we can't wait for it to be done! We will try to give at least weekly updates as we get closer
to the release of the cd. We are working on putting together a string of show dates to support
the release as well.
