Long ago in a faraway land,
peace and hope came to save all men,
through a child.
Long ago this child became man,
he suffered much but he loved till the end,
with his life.
So now as we contemplate,
Christmas is more than traditions made.
A holy gift from the Holy One,
sent to you and to me,
a gift of love.

to lay his life down and raise it again
to take away the sins of the world.
